Chain Conveyor End Drive Unit

CSTRANS supplies drive heads that pull flexible chains around the conveyor end and into the return path. For 63, 83 and 103 chains, CSTRANS offers corresponding 65, 85 and 105 drive ranges in fully enclosed, semi-enclosed and stainless forms. Larger chain families use semi-enclosed end arrangements. The head must match the chain, beam and motor mounting while leaving a workable product discharge to the next section.
Chain engagement
Engage the chain through the drive head
The drive head brings a shaft and sprocket into the flexible-chain loop. Its tooth engagement must suit the chain form and pitch, while the head-to-beam joint presents the chain at the correct running level. CSTRANS pairs 63, 83 and 103 chains with 65, 85 and 105 drive-head families. Correct engagement carries the product-supporting chain to the discharge before it turns into the return run. That matters on a line where a small change in end position also changes the gap to the receiving conveyor.
Motor interface
Connect the motor to the right shaft interface
CSTRANS drive-head assemblies include the drive shaft, sprocket, side plates, bearing housing and retaining parts. CSTRANS uses RV40, RV50 and RV63 flange forms and can process a nonstandard flange to suit the specified motor. Flange and shaft position determine how power reaches the sprocket and where the motor occupies space beside the beam. Matching those interfaces lets the drive fit the installed frame without changing the chain's approach to its discharge point.
140 chain form
Keep the series and 140 form distinct
CSTRANS offers 145, 175 and 295 semi-enclosed drive-head ranges for the 140, 175 and 295 chain families. The 140 chain needs closer identification because flat-toothed and flat-plate forms do not share every mating part: the flat-toothed version uses its own drive head, beam and wear strip. A cover shape or nominal width does not settle the fit. CSTRANS can match the specific chain form and drive assembly so the chain follows the intended beam and sprocket path through the end.

Application / Line Context
As containers or packs approach the end, the beam and wear strip support the chain under them. The head sprocket then pulls the chain around the end, while the products pass across the discharge gap to the receiving section. Shaft position, end-unit envelope and side guidance affect that handoff and the space available for the next machine. Beneath the beam, the chain enters its return run; that return must align with the tail end farther upstream. When a 140 flat-toothed chain is installed, its dedicated head and support hardware keep both sides of the loop on the same route.
