Flexible Chain Conveyor Spare Parts

Flexible chain conveyor end unit spare parts
Close-up of an end unit bearing and side plates

CSTRANS supplies flexible chain conveyor spare parts for drive and idler assemblies. Its end units use side plates and protective rings, drive and driven shafts, sprockets, connection blocks and columns, bearing housings and circlips. These components serve different jobs in the chain loop. Matching the part to the end-unit series and chain form matters more than matching the outside cover alone.

Drive interface

Restore the drive interface

At the head unit, the drive shaft and sprocket bring motion into the flexible chain. CSTRANS identifies both among the end-unit components. Their relation to the chain's underside and pitch determines how the chain turns around the head before returning below the beam. A replacement sprocket or shaft therefore belongs to a specific drive arrangement. The motor side adds another interface: CSTRANS lists RV40, RV50 and RV63 flange types and can process a nonstandard flange for a specified motor.

Shaft and housing

Keep the shaft and housing assembly together

Bearing housings support the rotating shaft, while side plates, protective rings and retaining clips complete the end assembly. These part types are also listed in CSTRANS's flexible-chain system. A worn or damaged component can change how the chain enters or leaves the end unit if the replacement does not sit in the intended position. Looking at the housing, shaft and retaining arrangement together helps distinguish a part-level repair from a mismatch in the surrounding beam or end unit.

Series fit

Check series and chain form before replacement

CSTRANS supplies 65, 85 and 105 end-unit families for 63, 83 and 103 chains. The 140 chain has flat-toothed and flat-plate forms, and the flat-toothed version uses its own end-unit, beam and wear-strip arrangement. Those distinctions carry through to replacement components: a part identified only as a 140-chain item may still have the wrong mating geometry. CSTRANS can use the chain form, end-unit family and visible component details to narrow the correct repair path.

Application / Line Context

When a drive-end sprocket or shaft is replaced, the chain must still engage at the head and return beneath the beam; the product leaves the carrying run toward the receiving conveyor. A housing or side-plate change can alter the end-unit position relative to that beam, affecting both the return path and discharge height. At the tail, the chain must turn back toward the infeed without meeting an offset in the supported track. Connection blocks and columns sit at the adjoining beam interfaces, so their fit matters when an entire end is opened for service. Matching parts as an assembly keeps the repair tied to the line's actual chain and beam configuration.

Send CSTRANS the chain series and form, end-unit photos, worn-part image or drawing, and motor/flange details if the drive side is involved. We can help identify the relevant shaft, sprocket, housing or connection components for the repair.
