1050 Heavy Duty Side Flexing Chain
CSTRANS supplies 1050 chain for conveyor lanes that turn in the horizontal plane. Openings in the POM plates leave gaps beneath the product, making base size a key selection check.

Check the smallest container base across the plate openings, including the changing gaps between links through the curve.

Open Plates Along a Curved Lane
The 1050 joins individual carrying plates with stainless steel pins. The articulated links follow a curved track while the slots interrupt contact beneath the container. Narrow feet and small bases need enough support across those openings.
Lubrication affects the listed speed limit. Review the intended dry or lubricated duty before selecting the chain speed. Load and resistance through the curve also affect chain pull; the maximum conveying distance alone does not settle drive sizing.

Review speed, distance and operating load together for the proposed route.
Matching Chain Sprockets
The 1050/1060 drive-sprocket family has 11- and 16-tooth machined references. Review the selected wheel diameter with the drive-end layout.
Dimensions & Fit
Compare the plate width and underside seating profile with the installed track. Show the curve radius and where it is measured. The links need clearance to articulate at entry and exit.
Support Containers Through a Direction Change
The open-plate 1050 is a candidate for bottle, can and container lanes connecting processing or packaging stations around a bend. Side guides control the container path while the plates move beneath it.
Downstream stops can leave containers accumulating on the moving chain. Include that resistance in the operating assessment. Product support across the slots remains relevant at the curve and at the final handoff.
