2542A Plastic Modular Belt
The CSTRANS 2542A plastic modular belt has a closed flat-top carrying surface. Connected POM or PP rows support products along a straight conveyor section.

- Flat top, 0% open area
- Pin Diameter
- 5 mm
- Belt Mass
- 6.8 kg/m²
Match the Flat Top and the Underside
Check the module connections and drive engagement when selecting the 2542A configuration.
Closed Support Within the 2542 Family
The 2542A top provides a solid carrying face across connected rows. Products rest on the flat module surfaces rather than spanning grid openings. This makes the base contact pattern different from the 2542B grid version.
The belt is assembled to a nominal width, with a finished dimension that can be lower after shrinkage. Agree that finished width with the conveyor's side clearance. The selected module and pin materials should also suit the process conditions.

Compare Joints, Width and End Support
Match the module underside to the sprocket tooth form and check pin-end clearance at the guides. Provide the assembled length as well as the width when replacing a belt.
Carry Small-Based Containers on a Flat Face
A closed face can support container rims and small feet during straight conveying. The base can span successive flat rows without meeting the larger openings of a grid.
At stops or accumulation points, the moving belt may slide beneath the product. Review the chosen material against the base finish and waiting load. Transfer support still needs assessment at the conveyor end.

Specify a 2542A Flat-Top Belt
Send nominal and finished width, assembled length and quantity with the existing drive reference. Include the product base and any stop or accumulation duty.
