140 Machined Flexible Chain Sprocket

The 140 machined sprocket range offers three tooth counts for a flexible-chain drive. PA and PP are listed material options, with round or square bores to match the specified shaft.

Confirm the exact chain link before selecting the wheel. A 140-family name does not establish pitch or tooth-profile compatibility.

Select Tooth Count Within the Available End Space

The 9-, 11- and 13-tooth options have different pitch and outside diameters. Increasing tooth count changes the chain path around the drive end, so the surrounding housing and support transitions must be checked with the selected wheel.

The bore joins the sprocket to the drive shaft. Its size and shape need to match the shaft drawing. Material selection should also reflect operating conditions; the PA and PP options do not by themselves establish the same temperature or load capability.

Dimensions & Fit

Compare the chain's engagement profile with the wheel drawing, then choose tooth count. Check outside diameter against the housing and the chain's approach to the wear strips.

Specify the 25–30 mm bore requirement and round or square form. For a keyed bore, supply the keyway and shaft details. Hub and axial-position dimensions must come from the ordered drawing.

Drive the Flexible Chain at the Conveyor End

The sprocket transmits shaft rotation into movement of the linked chain. At entry and exit, the chain must transition between the toothed wheel and the supported beam path.

When changing tooth count during a repair, review the changed end envelope and chain approach. A larger wheel can occupy space previously used by guards or transfer hardware even when the sprocket bore remains the same.
