843 Plate Top Chain

843 carries POM top plates on an 08A roller-chain base. Three plate widths provide narrow straight-running surfaces for products or carriers with different contact footprints.

Keep Base-Chain Pitch Separate from Plate Spacing

Compare the 08A chain and the top-plate arrangement when matching the drive.

Narrow Carrying Plates on an 08A Base

The top plates provide product support above the roller chain. The 08A base has its own link pitch, while the carrying plates are arranged at a different spacing.

That distinction matters when identifying a replacement. Measure both the roller chain and the plate pattern, then compare how the plates attach and sit above the track.

Listed working load: carbon steel base 2,000 N; stainless steel base 2,700 N. Assess the selected base for the duty; these forces are not carried product weights.

Match the Small Base and Carrying Height

Compare the 08A drive engagement with the existing wheel. Check the plate attachment and track section independently of the nominal plate width.

At transfer, the product must bridge successive plate edges and the receiving gap. Check the smallest product feet or carrier contact pads at that handoff.

Straight Transport of Small Products or Carriers

The narrower width options let the carrying lane sit beneath a compact base or carrier contact area. The product still needs sufficient stability across the plate joints.

In a multi-lane arrangement, align the narrow chains beneath the useful base areas. Keep the receiving supports in those same positions so a carrier foot does not fall between lanes during transfer.
