2540D Flighted Modular Belt
The CSTRANS 2540D flighted modular belt combines an open carrying body with upright flights and sidewalls. The raised parts form carrying pockets that move with the belt.

Size the Pocket Around the Product
Flight spacing and sidewall clearance must suit the load as well as the conveyor's return envelope.
Carrying Pockets That Travel With the Belt
The 2540D flights form barriers across the conveying direction, while the sidewalls bound the carrying area laterally. Together they create pockets for the conveyed product. Their arrangement should follow the product size and loading pattern.
The open body leaves a flow path beneath a supported load. Pockets and openings serve different functions: the raised parts position the product, while the grid provides passage through the belt. Small loose pieces still need checking against those openings.

Review the Entire Pocket Through the Conveyor
Check loading position against the space between flights. Allow room for the product to settle within the pocket before the incline or next process.
The raised parts must pass around the ends and clear the supports beneath the conveyor. Review the return envelope separately from the belt body's backflex radius. At discharge, check how the load leaves the pocket as the flight turns away.
Move a Contained Load Through an Inclined Section
Flights can support the load against movement along the carrying face, while sidewalls help retain it laterally. The chosen pocket must suit the product size, incline and loading behavior.
At discharge, the product needs a clear path out of the pocket. Sticky, irregular or fragile products can release differently, so assess their actual behavior and the receiving position. A pocketed belt does not establish an incline limit by itself.

Specify Your 2540D Pocket Layout
Send the required width, flight height and spacing, sidewall arrangement and quantity. Include product size, incline angle and a side view of loading, return and discharge.
