1901B Flush Grid Modular Belt
CSTRANS supplies the 1901B flush grid modular belt for straight carrying sections that need openings through the surface. The modules provide 16% open area around the product-supporting ribs.

Look at the Contact Points
Tray runners and container feet must sit securely on the grid while air or liquid passes through the openings.
Through-Openings Along a Flat Carrying Run
The 1901B grid lets air and liquid pass through the carrying area. The product rests on the ribs around those openings, so its contact pattern determines the support it receives.
The 4.6 mm connecting pins are a useful identification detail when comparing an installed belt. They should be checked with the module joints and sprocket geometry. A similar-looking closed top is a different carrying surface.

Check the Grid, Joint and Support Bed
Compare product feet with the openings, including the smallest item that will run on the conveyor. Show the support strips beneath the belt where flow is required.
Carry Products While Liquid Drains Away
On a draining conveyor section, openings in the carrying face provide a route beneath supported products. The support bed and liquid collection arrangement must leave that route open.
For an airflow process, the product base may cover part of the grid. Assess the exposed openings and the support available at discharge. Open area describes the belt, rather than the amount of flow that reaches a specific product.
