882TAB Side Flexing Chain
The 882TAB provides a broad POM carrying plate on a tab-guided side-flexing chain. Five listed widths cover 127 to 304.8 mm, with stainless steel connecting pins.
- Plate Width Range
- 127–304.8 mm
- Pitch
- 38.1 mm / 1.5 in
- Minimum Side-Flex Radius
- 610 mm / 24.02 in
The wider plate extends beyond the central running section. Review support beneath the plate and clearances around the retained chain.

Support a Wider Product Footprint
The 882TAB offers a wider carrying face than a narrow single-lane top chain. The selected plate width must support the product base while leaving clearance for the guides and adjacent conveyor structure.
The central link and tab geometry still determine track fit. Increasing plate width does not change the listed 610 mm side-flex radius across these five sizes. Chain mass does increase, so the moving chain itself forms part of the drive-load assessment.

Matching Chain Sprockets
The 882TAB has three matching machined drive-sprocket references with 10, 11 or 12 teeth. The table identifies the bore options for each wheel size.
Dimensions & Fit
Choose the width from the product footprint and required lane clearance. Compare the central tab section with the installed retaining track, then check support under the projecting plate.
Carry Wider Containers Around a Bend
The wide 882TAB plate is relevant to packs and containers that need more base support than a narrow lane provides. A curved route can connect stations without asking the product to slide across a stationary corner plate.
Product overhang becomes more significant through the turn. A wide carton corner follows a different path from the chain center, so rail position and nearby equipment clearance must be checked with the actual pack dimensions.
