880TAB Side Flexing Chain

The 880TAB has solid POM top plates and underside tabs for engagement with a retaining guide. Stainless steel pins join the links at a 38.1 mm pitch.

Review the tabbed cross section before replacing a chain in an existing curve. Top plate width does not describe the retaining profile.

Guide the Tabs Below the Carrying Face

The 880TAB places the retaining features beneath the product-supporting plates. The track engages those tabs through the bend while the top face carries the container. This makes the track groove a decisive replacement dimension.

The chain is listed in K325 and K450 widths. Match the wider plate to the actual conveyor layout rather than assuming it follows the same curve as the narrower size. The 2,100 N working-load reference is stated at 21 °C.

K325 has a listed minimum side-flex radius of 500 mm (19.69 in). Review the K450 curve for the ordered configuration.

Matching Chain Sprockets

The 880 drive-sprocket range includes machined and injection-moulded references in 10, 11 and 12 teeth. Keep the process, tooth count and finished shaft fit together when specifying the wheel.

Dimensions & Fit

For K325, check the listed 500 mm minimum side-flex radius against a dimensioned plan view. For K450, provide the installed curve drawing for review.

Inspect the retaining groove through entries and exits, where the links change angle. Show the return-path bend independently. Check that tab access permits fitting and removing the chain without dismantling unrelated conveyor sections.

Carry Containers on a Mechanically Retained Lane

The 880TAB is a candidate for curved bottle and can lanes built around a tab-retaining track. The container rides on a solid plate while the lower guide controls chain lift through the turn.

At a transfer, the product must bridge the gap while the chain moves away onto its return path. Container base size and receiving height are therefore relevant even when the replacement chain fits the existing groove.
