880 Side Flexing Chain

The 880 carries bottles and cans through a curved lane on solid POM plates. Two plate widths are listed, with a different minimum side-flex radius for each width.

Plate Material
POM
Pin Material
Stainless steel
Plate Widths
82.6 / 114.3 mm

Choose the plate width and curve together: K325 uses a 500 mm minimum radius, while K450 uses 610 mm.

Choose Width With the Bend

The 880 has individual solid plates connected by stainless steel pins. As the links turn, the carrying face follows the conveyor lane. Its cross section shows the underside seating geometry against the supporting guide.

Widening the carrying plate changes the bend requirement. The 114.3 mm K450 needs a larger listed radius than the 82.6 mm K325. A wider container lane therefore needs enough space in the conveyor plan as well as enough support beneath the product.

Dimensions & Fit

Check the track section against the actual chain underside. Locate the curve's radius reference on the plan drawing before comparing it with the size table.

Review the return bend separately, using the installed geometry and a chain sample. At transfers, check how the product base crosses the gap as the last carrying plate leaves the support.

Turn a Bottle or Can Lane

On a container line, the 880 changes travel direction without moving the container to a separate turning device. The moving plates support the base while fixed side guides control the body.

Containers that queue through the turn add sliding resistance. The operating review should include accumulation as well as normal spaced conveying. At the exit, align the guides with the next straight lane to avoid an abrupt change in the container path.
