44Y Crescent Flexible Chain

The 44Y uses curved crescent plates that overlap along the carrying path. The POM face presents a different support pattern from the fingered 44A or recessed 44V versions.

Check the overlap while the chain is curved. The smallest base should retain support as neighboring links change angle.

Overlap Curved Plate Edges

Each 44Y plate has a crescent outline that overlaps the next link. The curved edge pattern follows link articulation while providing carrying contact above the joints. A product's base shape determines how it sits across those overlaps.

The linked underside contains the pivot and connecting pin arrangement. Its position relative to the top plate matters when checking an existing beam. Select by the 44Y geometry rather than treating all narrow flexible-chain tops as equivalent.

Dimensions & Fit

Compare plate overlap through the tightest part of the route. Show the smallest product base, guide positions and the direction of travel.

Check the pivot underside against the support track and provide measured link spacing for drive review. At a handoff, inspect how the last curved plate supports the product as it approaches the gap.

Maintain Contact on a Narrow Curved Lane

The crescent top can support small containers or components on a lane that changes direction. The product rides over the overlapping curved edges while the underside links follow the beam.

A narrow base may rest partly across a plate joint. Check its orientation through the curve and at the transfer rather than relying on the outer plate outline. Guide contact should keep the product on the available carrying area.
