1400 Multiflex Chain
1400 is an articulated case-conveyor chain with a 50 mm carrying width. Its linked, open-centre form follows the conveyor route while supporting the product along a narrow running lane.

Match the Case Base to the Support Lanes
A case with feet or ribs needs support beneath those features through the full curve.

Narrow Chain Support for a Larger Base
1400 carries a case along a narrow chain surface. A larger product can span parallel chain lanes when those lanes sit beneath suitable parts of its base.
The links articulate through the route. Through a turn, the case footprint moves relative to the support lanes, so lane spacing and side guidance must maintain support beneath the base. The chain width alone cannot establish the required conveyor width.

Specifications
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Plate width | Specification: 50 mm / 1.969 in |
| Minimum side-flex radius | Specification: 450 mm / 17.717 in |
| Reverse radius | Specification: 75 mm / 2.953 in |
| Listed working load | Specification: 6,400 N / 1,439 lbf |
Working load refers to chain force and requires assessment against the installed route and duty. It is not a case-weight capacity.
Review the Curved Running Lane
Compare the link and track section with the existing chain. Check the radius reference on the conveyor plan and allow for articulation at the tightest turn.
Conveying Cases Between Packing Operations
A case conveyor can support a broad container on narrow running lanes instead of a full-width belt. This arrangement depends on a sufficiently rigid base and appropriately placed contact lines.
At a curve, the outer part of the case travels a different path from the inner part. Guides and support placement need to accommodate that movement without leaving a foot unsupported.
