5081B Flush Grid Plastic Modular Belt

5081B has rows of narrow slots through its modular carrying panels. The flush-grid face provides product support with an 18% open area for flow through the belt.

Compare Small Features With the Slots

Check product feet, tabs and leading edges against the slot pattern. Overall product width alone does not show whether those details remain supported.

Narrow Slots Across the Carrying Panel

5081B places repeated slots within the panel face. The remaining surface carries the product while the slots provide paths through the belt. This structure calls for a different base-support check from a fully closed panel.

POM and PP modules are listed with POM, PP or PA6 pins. The 8 mm pin and hinge geometry need to be considered with the drive arrangement when replacing an installed belt.

Support the Slotted Panels Without Closing the Flow Path

Position the carrying supports so the panel has suitable support under the product load. Where drainage matters, check which slots remain open above the support track.

Compare the existing sprocket engagement with the module drawing. The return layout must suit the 75 mm backflex radius. Examine the handoff with the smallest product and its most vulnerable base feature.

Drain Through a Level Carrying Face

On a wet straight run, liquid can leave through the panel slots. The drain arrangement beneath the belt must collect that liquid without obstructing belt movement.

For products with small molded feet, orientation affects contact with the slots. A rotated container may present a different support pattern even though its overall footprint is unchanged. Review both normal travel and loading misalignment.
