2720-R Narrow Vacuum Flush Grid Modular Belt
2720-R combines narrow carrying lanes with an open-grid modular surface. Its 27.2 mm pitch links provide passages through the belt for vacuum conveying arrangements and drainage duties.

Position the Openings Over the Suction Track
Holding force depends on product coverage and leakage. Match the narrow carrying strip to the product base and the vacuum arrangement beneath it.

Open Links in a Compact Lane
2720-R carries products on grid ribs while leaving openings through the belt. In a vacuum arrangement, those openings provide a flow path between the product underside and the suction track.
The belt is one part of the holding system. A product that covers too little of the track can leave a large leakage path. On multiple-lane conveyors, strip width and lane spacing also determine how the product is supported between contact points.

Check the Lane and Suction Geometry Together
Locate the vacuum opening relative to the ribs and product base. Check that the supporting track leaves the intended flow path open. Adjacent lanes must support the product against tipping between strips.
Carry Products Over a Narrow Suction Path
A narrow vacuum lane can hold a product against the carrying surface when the underside provides enough coverage. Product porosity, base openings and movement across the lane affect leakage. These conditions determine the vacuum-system requirements.
For drainage duties, liquid can pass through the open carrying strip. The smallest product footprint must still span enough ribs to cross the grid and the discharge gap.

Specify Your 2720-R Carrying Lane
Send the required width, belt length and quantity with a product-base sketch and track drawing. For vacuum duties, include the suction arrangement and the product surface that contacts the belt.
