2540A Flush Grid Modular Belt

The CSTRANS 2540A flush grid modular belt leaves 34% of its carrying area open. Connected grid modules support the product while allowing air and liquid through the belt.

Support the Product Above the Flow Path

Compare the base footprint with the grid and check that the support bed leaves the required openings clear.

A Grid for Product Support and Through-Flow

The 2540A ribs form a carrying face around open cells. Air and liquid can pass beneath the product through the 34% open area. The product's feet or runners determine how its weight rests on those ribs.

POM and PP options have different listed temperature ranges. Select the base and pins for the process rather than treating all material combinations as equivalent. Finished width and the return geometry also need agreement with the conveyor layout.

Check Flow Clearance and Backward Bends

Show the support strips beneath the belt and where liquid or air must pass. Compare narrow product contact points with the openings at loading and discharge.

Check backward bends against the 30 mm radius. Identify the installed sprocket and module engagement when replacing an existing belt. At the handoff, check the receiving gap independently of the grid's open area.

Carry Supported Products Through a Flow Stage

The open grid can be considered for a straight draining or airflow section. Liquid leaves through the belt instead of remaining on a fully closed carrying face.

The process also depends on the product and support bed. A broad tray may cover many openings; narrow feet need adequate rib contact. Review how the product is loaded and released, since support at the transfer differs from support along the run.
