1901D Modular Belt Flight

CSTRANS supplies 1901D flights for the 1901 modular belt family. Upright flights provide a moving barrier across the carrying surface to support product positioning along the run.

Leave Clearance Around the Flight

Check its full path through the conveyor ends and return supports, including the space above and beside it.

A Moving Barrier Across the Carrying Run

The 1901D flight projects above the belt to engage the product behind its base. Successive flights divide the carrying run into spaces for the conveyed load. Their height and spacing should suit the product and the loading method.

POM and PP flight materials are listed. The flight arrangement must be reviewed with the base belt and conveyor, since the raised parts travel through a larger envelope than a plain carrying surface.

N is a positive integer; n is a nonnegative integer. Specify flight height, spacing and side offset against the drawing.

Set the Pocket and Travel Envelope

Use the drawing's H, K and M references to identify height, spacing and side position. Check the product length against the space between flights and the way products enter that space.

At the return, flights need clearance from crossmembers and supports. At discharge, check how the product leaves the pocket as the flight turns away around the conveyor end.

Support Product Positioning on an Incline

On an inclined section, a flight can provide a physical barrier behind the conveyed load. The selected height and spacing must suit the product shape, incline and loading pattern.

Flights also change loading and discharge timing. A product arriving across a flight can be lifted or displaced, so coordinate the feed position with the pocket spacing. Check the final release onto the receiving conveyor with the same care.
