1873T Plate Top Chain

1873T mounts POM carrying plates on a metal base chain. Six plate widths let the product-contact span be chosen separately from the central drive chain.

Plate Material
POM
Width Range
82.6–304.8 mm
Base Options
Carbon steel / stainless steel

Select the Width with Its Curve Radius

The two narrower plates use a different minimum curve radius from the wider options.

Separate Product Support from the Drive Chain

The metal chain transmits motion along the conveyor while the POM plates present the carrying surface. The plate can extend well beyond the chain beneath it, so the supporting track must suit the chosen plate span.

Successive plates articulate through the route. The product base should remain supported as the plate angle changes, particularly at the inner curve edge and at the handoff to a straight conveyor.

Match the Plate Support Beneath the Product

Compare carrying width and track section together. The base chain needs correct guidance while the plate requires support appropriate to the product contact.

Check the selected width's curve geometry and the separate reverse bend. Set receiving height and transfer gap against the product base rather than against chain width alone.

Carrying Cartons Through a Curved Connection

A plate-top chain provides a broader product-contact surface above a narrow drive chain. Cartons and carriers need enough base area to bridge the joints between plates.

Through a curve, guides should maintain the intended product position without forcing its edge into a plate opening. The width and support arrangement should be checked with the smallest item in the range.
