1873/1874T Rubber Top Plate Top Chain

The rubber-top plate chain adds contact strips above the carrying plates. The strips present a different contact surface to the product while the base chain drives the linked assembly.

Check Where the Base Meets the Strips

A recessed or ribbed product base may contact the raised strips unevenly.

Add Contact Above the Plate Surface

The strip attachment raises the product contact above the surrounding plate. A product resting on those strips encounters a different contact pattern from one resting across a plain carrying plate.

The strip position matters as much as the outside plate width. Check the useful contact zones beneath the product and how they pass across successive links through a curve. The rubber-top description does not establish a friction coefficient or an incline rating.

Compare Strip Height and Base Contact

Use a product-base section to locate contact on the strips. Review the receiving conveyor height against the top of the attachment rather than against the plate below it.

Identify the exact base-chain, guide and any underside bearing arrangement from the installed assembly. Confirm the complete return envelope with the strips fitted.

Frictional Contact During Guided Transport

Rubber strips are a candidate where a product needs contact above the plain carrying plate. A broad base can bridge several strips, while narrow feet need their contact positions checked individually.

A stopped product may also experience more drag from a friction surface. Review both conveying and waiting conditions, including how the product releases at discharge, before choosing the attachment pattern.

Review the Rubber Top Arrangement

Send a top and underside photograph, product-base dimensions, chain length and quantity. Identify the installed plate-chain variant and operating surface conditions for CSTRANS to compare the attachment.
