Identify Which Surface the Roller Runs Against
The bearing position and supporting rail must be reviewed as one arrangement.
Rolling Guidance Below the Carrying Plate
The bearing roller changes the contact beneath the top plate. Where it meets a guide, that contact can roll as the chain moves through the route. Its orientation matters because only the intended running face should load the roller.
The family description covers more than one plate-chain assembly. Establish the actual plate, base chain and bearing arrangement from the installed unit before specifying a replacement. A bearing reference alone does not define the complete chain.

Compare the Bearing Centre with the Guide
Show the roller position relative to the plate and base-chain centreline. Include roller clearance, rail contact height and the support beneath the carrying surface.
Guiding a Broad Plate Through a Curve
A plate-chain conveyor may need guided contact beneath its carrying surface. An underside bearing provides a rolling contact point where the arrangement is designed for it.
The guide should bring that contact into position gradually at the curve entry. Product support and bearing guidance need separate checks: a correctly guided chain can still leave a narrow product base poorly supported at discharge.

Compare Your Bearing-Roller Chain
Send photographs of the top and underside, a dimensioned bearing location and the required length and quantity. Identify the installed 1873 or 1874T assembly and guide section for CSTRANS to review.
