1701TAB Multiflex Chain
1701TAB pairs an articulated case-chain surface with lower guide tabs. The tabs engage the track beneath the carrying lane and must be matched to the installed section.

Check the Tab Envelope Below the Plate
The carrying width alone does not describe the space needed within the track.
Guidance Beneath a Narrow Carrying Lane
The tabbed profile lets a matching track capture the chain below the carrying plate. This relationship needs sufficient clearance for the links to articulate through the curve.
1701TAB has the same stated carrying width as the plain 1701, but its lower envelope differs. A replacement decision should therefore begin with the track section as well as the product width.

Verify Capture Across Track Joints
Compare tab shape and clearance at straight-to-curve joints and maintenance openings. The chain should enter the retained section without a projection striking the guide edge.
A Retained Running Lane for Case Handling
Where a curved conveyor uses captured chain guidance, the tabs keep the chain engaged with the matching track. The case itself still needs side guidance and appropriate support beneath its base.
A case may span several running lanes. Review its feet through entry and exit so changing support positions do not let the base tilt while the chain remains correctly guided.

Review a 1701TAB Replacement
Send the track cross-section, installed chain reference, required length and quantity. Include the curve plan and product-base details for CSTRANS to compare the tabbed fit.
