1275 Plastic Modular Belt

The CSTRANS 1275 plastic modular belt is available with POM or PP modules. Its open lattice provides 48% open area for processes that need air or liquid to pass beneath supported products.

Check the Spaces Beneath the Product

The product's actual contact points must span the lattice throughout the carrying run and transfer.

A Lattice That Leaves Space for Through-Flow

The 1275 carrying structure uses narrow ribs around open cells. These ribs carry the product while the spaces allow flow through the belt. A broad product bottom can bridge several ribs; a small foot needs a closer support check.

POM and PP have different temperature ranges, so material selection needs to reflect the process conditions. The listed belt mass of 3.6 kg/m² is part of the moving load in drive selection. Check the return arrangement for backward bending and clearance beneath the open modules.

Confirm the assembled width using the module arrangement drawing and the conveyor's clear carrying space.

Support the Ribs Without Blocking the Openings

Compare the support-bed layout with the underside of the modules. Check that the product contact points remain supported across the belt and at the loading position. Confirm the pin cross-section and joint fit from the assembly drawing.

Allow for the 25 mm backflex radius on the return. At discharge, examine how the last supporting rib moves away from the product base. The receiving gap must suit that base rather than the product's outer size alone.

Carry Trays Through an Airflow or Drainage Stage

The open cells give a flow process access beneath a supported tray or package. The useful flow path also depends on the tray bottom and the support strips beneath the belt.

On a draining section, liquid can leave the carrying area through the grid. Small loose pieces may pass through the openings, so assess the actual product and any fragments produced by the process before selecting this surface.
