Broad Support for the Product Base
The 1274A modules close the carrying face between adjacent joints. That surface supports products with feet or rims that could otherwise meet grid openings. The module connections allow the same belt to bend at its ends.
The flat-top profile is the key distinction from the 1274B grid version. Selection should also consider the base material and pins, because the assembled belt must suit the process temperature and product contact conditions.

Select the finished belt width from the module arrangement drawing and the conveyor's available clearance.
Establish the Width and Return Envelope
Measure the clear distance between the side guides and the width needed to support the product. Use the drawing to compare the module arrangement with the installed belt.
Check the proposed return bends against the selected configuration before installation. Include an underside view and the sprocket reference when replacing an existing belt, so drive engagement can be compared alongside the flat top.
Support Containers Along a Straight Run
A closed belt face is useful when a container rests on a narrow bottom rim or several small feet. The base stays supported across the module surfaces as it moves along the conveyor.
At a stop, the belt may continue moving under the container. Review the sliding contact and product stability for that duty. The flat top describes the carrying geometry; the actual base finish and operating conditions determine how the product behaves.
