1272 Flat Top Modular Belt
The CSTRANS 1272 flat top modular belt provides a closed carrying surface for straight conveying. Its linked modules support product bases across a belt assembled to the required width.

Support Small Contact Areas
The closed top supports feet and edges that would need extra checking on an open grid.
Closed Support Across Connected Rows
The 1272 belt has no designed open area in the carrying face. Broad module surfaces support the product as successive rows articulate around the conveyor ends. The closed top is relevant when small bases need continuous support along the carrying run.
Nominal standard widths use 152.4 mm increments. A nonstandard arrangement adds 8.4 mm increments to that base. Finished width can be lower after material shrinkage, so the order dimension needs to account for the actual frame clearance.

N is a positive integer; n is a nonnegative integer. Select material and pin combination for the actual operating conditions.
Check the Finished Width and End Support
Compare the required carrying width with the space inside the guides. Use the module drawing to review the belt edge and the drive engagement with the existing sprockets.
Order the required standard or nonstandard assembled width. CSTRANS does not recommend cutting this belt to width on site because of its sprocket-positioning constraints.
Check the backward bends on the return against the 8 mm backflex radius. At discharge, product support depends on the conveyor end and the receiving gap; a closed belt face alone cannot bridge that gap.
Carry Packages With Small Bases
A closed carrying face is useful on a straight packaging conveyor where small feet, runners or product corners need support between loading and discharge. The module joints still move, so loose edges should be checked as the belt wraps around an end.
Where products wait against a stop, assess sliding contact with the selected plastic surface. Product mass, base finish and line speed influence this contact; the material choice should reflect those conditions.

Request a 1272 Belt Configuration
Send belt width, assembled length and quantity with the existing sprocket reference. Describe the product base and any stop or transfer positions so CSTRANS can review the carrying and end-support requirements.
