1270 Flush Grid Modular Belt
The CSTRANS 1270 flush grid modular belt has a 16% open carrying surface for straight conveyor sections. Connected POM or PP modules support products while the openings provide a path through the belt.

Check the Product Base Against the Grid
A product must span enough of the grid to stay supported as it travels and transfers.
A Flush Surface With Through-Openings
The 1270 grid leaves 16% of the carrying area open. Air or liquid can pass through the belt, while the surrounding plastic supports the product base. Narrow feet and projecting edges need checking against the openings.
Nominal widths progress in 85 mm increments. Specify the finished width as well as the nominal selection, because material shrinkage can reduce the assembled width. The 8 mm backflex radius concerns the return path and needs a separate check from discharge geometry.

N is a positive integer. Confirm the assembled width and belt-and-pin combination for the operating conditions.
Leave Room for Joint Movement
Check side clearance using the finished belt width. Under the conveyor, identify where the belt backflexes and compare those bends with the 8 mm radius.
Through-Flow on a Straight Carrying Run
On a draining conveyor, the grid provides an outlet through the carrying surface. An airflow process can also use the openings to reach the underside of a supported item. The support bed beneath the belt must allow the intended flow.
Packages with small feet require a contact check before running over the grid. At the receiving conveyor, maintain support as the base crosses the gap.

Specify Your 1270 Belt
Send nominal and finished width, assembled length and quantity. Include the sprocket reference, product-base dimensions and operating temperature so CSTRANS can review the belt and pin selection.
