83 Toothed Flexible Chain

The 83 toothed flexible chain uses interleaving POM plate edges to form a carrying surface that can articulate through the conveyor route. Its 83 mm plate width and 33.5 mm pitch identify the chain for dimensional comparison.

Interleaving Edges Through the Turn

The plate fingers overlap the neighboring link's outline as the chain changes direction. This lets the carrying surface follow the articulated joint while retaining product support across successive plates.

The word toothed describes that plate outline. Drive engagement still takes place at the chain's mating sprocket and needs its own geometry check. For a replacement, compare the underside joint as well as the visible top.

Check Plate Support and Chain Engagement

Measure the existing link pitch across several joints and compare the track section with the chain drawing. Check clearance around the plate fingers in the tightest part of the route.

Use the smallest product base to assess the gaps between plates. At discharge, set the receiving height and gap so the product crosses from the fingered surface onto stable support.

Direct Transport Between Guided Stations

The fingered surface can carry containers or supported parts through a curved conveyor connection. Guides control the product path while the plate edges articulate beneath it.

A broad base can span several fingers and links. Narrow feet need closer examination because their contact may move toward an opening during a turn. Product stability through that transition is a practical selection check before the chain is ordered.
