175 Flexible Chain

The 175FL carries products on broad flat POM plates above a central flexible joint. The plate extends to either side of the running link, making support across the lane an important fit check.

Check the support beneath the plate edges as well as the central link. A wide product can load the carrying face away from the joint.

Carry Across a Broad Plate

The 175FL separates the carrying surface from the central running joint. Products contact the flat POM plates while the narrower underside follows the beam. Wear-strip positions determine where that broad plate receives support.

The flat face is relevant to packs that need contact across their base. Their center of gravity and position on the lane still matter. Review an off-center load against the support arrangement, especially where the route begins to turn.

Dimensions & Fit

Compare the central joint and plate span with the beam drawing. Provide a measured chain width and link spacing for the replacement check.

Review plate-edge clearance through every bend. At discharge, support should pass from the broad plate to the receiving surface without leaving a vulnerable pack edge over the gap. Identify the actual drive-wheel reference rather than choosing by family width.

Support Packs Between Packaging Operations

A flat top flexible lane can move cartons or containers between stations whose positions require a change in route. The broad plates provide contact beneath a pack while the central joints follow the conveyor path.

The leading corners of a wide pack sweep beyond the chain center through a turn. Guide position must allow that motion. Check base support at the outer edge and at the handoff to the next station, particularly for soft-bottomed packs.
