Plastic Bearing Housings

Plastic bearing housings connect the bearing arrangement to the conveyor frame. Compare the housing shape, fixing pattern and bearing seat when selecting a replacement.

Check the Frame Pattern Before Choosing the Shape

The mounting holes and shaft position must agree with the frame as well as the bearing size.

Connect the Bearing Seat to the Frame

The housing surrounds the bearing and provides the mounting connection to the conveyor structure. The available mounting space determines which outline and fixing pattern can be considered. The bearing seat must then be matched to the selected insert.

The illustrated square and oval assemblies have different fixing arrangements. A replacement should preserve the shaft position as well as fit the mounting holes. Confirm the housing and bearing configuration together; a cover shown in a photograph does not define every supplied assembly.

Compare Shaft Position and Fixing Space

Show the existing housing reference and mounting drawing. Measure fixing centres, the shaft position relative to the mounting face and the available space around the bearing. Check the insert's outer seat and width independently of shaft diameter.

For pedestal arrangements, shaft height above the mounting face is a separate check. Confirm access for assembly and any required bearing retention or cover.

Locate Conveyor Shafts Along the Frame

A flange housing can position a bearing at a frame side, while a pedestal layout places the shaft above its mounting surface. The mounting geometry determines the relationship between the shaft and the conveyor's drive or return path.

During replacement, inspect the frame mounting and the bearing seat. Distortion or damage at either connection can affect shaft alignment even if the replacement bore matches.
