2720B Flush Grid Plastic Modular Belt
2720B carries products on an open, flush-grid surface. Its 38% open area leaves passages for air and liquid beneath products on straight conveyor runs.

Match the Grid to the Smallest Product
Thin edges and narrow feet need enough contact with the ribs to cross both the grid and the discharge gap.

Keep a Flow Path Beneath the Product
2720B uses connected grid modules with a level carrying surface. Products rest on the ribs while spaces between them remain available for drainage or airflow. Product coverage and the conveyor supports beneath the belt affect the usable flow path.
POM and PP belt options use a 4.6 mm connecting pin. POM, PP and PA6 pin materials are listed. Choose the belt and pin combination for the process temperature and contact conditions.

N and n are integer assembly increments. Allow for material shrinkage when agreeing the finished width.
Preserve the Grid's Open Path
Review wear-strip positions beneath the carrying run. A wide support directly below an opening can restrict the flow path. Support spacing must still suit the product load and belt construction.
Compare the module drawing with the installed sprockets before ordering a replacement. Check the 50 mm backflex radius in the return route separately from discharge geometry. Align receiving heights and assess the gap with the smallest product.
Drain or Ventilate While Carrying
On a draining section, liquid can leave through the grid. Beneath cooling products, the openings give moving air a route to the underside. Process rates depend on the product and line conditions.
Product orientation also matters. A broad base can span several ribs; a narrow projection may enter a gap. Check the full range of product sizes and their movement during loading and discharge.

Plan a 2720B Grid-Belt Replacement
Send the finished width needed, belt length and quantity with an existing belt or sprocket reference. Include the smallest product footprint, process temperature and whether drainage or airflow drives the selection.
