5082B Flush Grid Modular Belt
5082B has an open OPB grid between its module ribs. The 23% open surface lets liquid and air pass through while products remain supported on the carrying face.
- Pitch
- 50.8 mm / 2 in
- Open Area
- 23%
- Belt Mass
- 10 kg/m² / 2.048 lb/ft²
Keep the Underside Flow Path Open
Wear strips must support the belt without closing the passages needed for drainage or airflow. Review their placement under the grid.
Open OPB Panels for Through-Belt Flow
The 5082B grid divides the carrying face into supporting ribs and openings. Product-base shape determines how the load meets those ribs. The grid remains useful for flow only where the underside support leaves a passage.
5082B shares an OPB family reference with closed-top variants, but its carrying pattern and belt mass differ. Use its own open-area and support geometry when assessing a process replacement.

N and n are integer assembly increments. Finished width depends on the selected material and assembly.
Check Small Contact Points Across the Slots
Compare container feet or projecting edges with the opening pattern. Check product support when the item is skewed as well as when it is centered on the lane.
Drain Beneath Supported Products
On a wet conveying section, liquid can pass through the grid into the collection area below. Beneath a ventilated product, the same openings provide a route for air to reach the base.
A product with thin feet may need a different orientation to span the grid reliably. Examine loading, steady travel and discharge separately because the contact points change during each stage.

Specify Your 5082B Grid Assembly
Send belt width, length and quantity with product-base dimensions and the process temperature. Include the support-track layout when drainage or airflow is central to the application.
