2548 Plastic Modular Belt

CSTRANS supplies the 2548 plastic modular belt with connected flat-top modules. The closed carrying face supports the product, while the module underside and joints determine the conveyor fit.

Identify the Module Width Arrangement

Compare the actual modules and underside with the installed belt before agreeing the assembled width.

Match the Module Construction on Both Faces

The 2548 flat tops form a closed carrying surface above the linked module body. Products rest across the carrying rows, while the underside engages the conveyor's drive and support arrangement.

The module layout is an essential identification detail. Compare the separate module widths and joint pattern with the installed belt rather than selecting from the model reference alone. The assembled carrying width must also leave clearance within the frame.

Agree the finished width and module arrangement against a dimensioned reference for the required assembly.

Compare Module Widths, Joints and Return Clearance

Provide a measured top and underside view of the existing belt. Identify the carrying width separately from individual module dimensions.

Check return bends against the 30 mm backflex radius and verify clearance around the return supports. At the drive, compare the sprocket tooth form and engagement with the underside. At discharge, review the receiving gap using the product-base footprint.

Replace a Flat-Top Belt by Its Actual Geometry

A closed modular surface can carry packages or containers along a straight section. For a replacement, the module joints and support arrangement need to work together throughout that route.

At a transfer, the product leaves successive rows as they turn away beneath it. A short base may need closer receiving support than a long tray. Check that handoff alongside the module fit rather than treating a similar-looking flat surface as sufficient.
