83 Wheel Bend
The 83 wheel bend provides a wheel-guided horizontal turn for an 83-series flexible chain. The disk and adjoining curved profile work together to establish the chain route.

Identify the chain series and beam-end section together. An 83 chain designation does not by itself fix the bend's radius or footprint.
Keep the Wheel and Curved Track Aligned
The rotating wheel guides the inner side of the chain around the bend. Its bracket and shaft hold that wheel relative to the adjoining half-beam structure. Alignment between these parts determines the running path.
An 83 assembly needs its own layout check. Compare the entry and exit beam sections with the existing conveyor and verify the wheel's position in relation to them. The wheel should be reviewed as part of the bend rather than ordered from diameter alone.

Dimensions & Fit
Show the required change in direction and the available space on the inside of the turn. Mark tangent positions and the radius reference used on the drawing.
Link Straight Runs Through a Turn
The wheel bend lets an 83-series route change direction around fixed equipment. Above the chain, the product can rotate as it follows the guide boundary, so its maximum swept width may exceed its width on a straight run.
Check this envelope before setting adjacent machine positions. Leave the straight-to-curve transition aligned so the chain and guides lead into the bend consistently.

Discuss an 83 Wheel Bend
Send the 83 chain and beam references, required turn angle and layout. Add wheel/shaft details and quantity for CSTRANS to review.
