63 Horizontal Plain Bend
The 63 horizontal plain bend continues a 63 mm flexible chain through a curved track on the 65 mm beam family. Select the radius and angle to fit the route between straight runs.
- Chain / beam
- 63 / 65 mm
- Radii
- 500 / 700 / 1000 mm
- Angles
- 30° / 45° / 60° / 90°
A narrow chain still needs a layout check for product overhang. Use the chain path and the product envelope as separate outlines.
Continue the Narrow Chain on a Plain Curve
The 63 plain bend turns the chain on a curved supporting track. Its beam section needs to join the 65 mm straight beam while maintaining the carrying level and wear-strip path.
The bend radius controls how much floor space the turn occupies. The angle controls the direction of the next run. Choose them together so the tangent ends meet the intended machine positions.

Dimensions & Fit
Mark the selected radius and angle on the layout. Check the beam-end section, tangent lengths and continuity of the chain support.
Connect Offset Machine Positions
A plain curve can redirect a narrow conveying lane toward another process position. The product remains on the chain as its direction changes, so the guide route must accommodate any overhang.
Check the total curved route when reviewing chain pull. Several sliding turns can affect the circuit differently from one isolated bend.

Request a 63 Plain-Bend Quote
Send the 63 chain reference, selected radius/angle and layout. Include load, speed and quantity so the bend can be reviewed with the route.
